Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, a nature horizons team member will be waiting to greet you. Afterwards, we will transfer you to your hotel accommodation for your first stay overnight. Once you arrive at the hotel, you will meet your guide and get a briefing on your tour.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and tour preparation
Sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley follows an initial pre-trip consultation with tour specialists at the hotel. The cultural, historical, and artistic significance of the places designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites cannot be overstated. Visit the holy sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Patan Durbar square in comfort and style with a private car and expert guide. Stay the night at the same Kathmandu hotel.
Day 3: Fly to Pokhara
From Kathmandu, you will take a 35 minutes’ flight to Pokhara which will provide breathtaking aerial views of the surrounding mountains. Transfer to the accommodation and get fresh for the short tour of Pokhara city. Top attractions include the Mahendra and Bat Cave, the International Mountain Museum, boating on Fewa Lake, Devi’s Fall, and the Peace Pagoda Stupa. Spend the night at a Luxurious hotel.
Day 4: Drive to Tatopani
It’s a five-to-six-hour drive via winding roads in the highlands, where you’ll see a market, a town, some rivers, and some rice paddies. Beni is where your off-road adventure begins, and you’ll be traveling along the Kali Gandaki River’s bank. Treat yourself with a dip in the hot springs as Tatopani is famous for it.
Day 5: Drive to Kagbeni (2900m)
The path to Kagbeni begins on the banks of the Kaligandaki River and continues into the Kaligandaki canyon (world deepest gorge). It’s about a five- or six-hour drive from Jomsom to the popular holy temple of Muktinath, where you can see the 108 spout water taps, a Buddhist monastery, natural fire (lighting itself), and stunning views of Tukuche Peak, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri, as well as participate in traditional Tibetan practices.
Day 6: Drive to Ghami (3530m)
After getting permits entry done for the Upper Mustang area you will take a 6 hours’ drive to Ghami. Drive through the historic picturesque village of Chuksung, Chella, Samar, Syangboche, Bhina, and Ghiling after seeing the Buddhist school and monastery of Kagbeni. Experiencing Tibetan Buddhist culture and everyday life, as well as seeing traditional residences and Yak caravans, will make for an entertaining day.
Day 7: Drive to Lo-manthang (3850m)
Incredible vistas and local adventures wait along the way. The extraordinary opportunity to take in breathtaking views of nature at every turn of the road. The journey includes stops in the modern city of Mustang as well as a historic monastery. Highlights include trips to the Chodey Gompa, the main attraction Gompa of town, and the Jampa Gompa, also known as the God house and the oldest monastery, built in the early 15th century.
Other notable stops include the Lo Gager Ghar Gompa, the Charang monastery, the Thubchen Gompa, which is pretty huge with a red assembly hall and dates back to the late 15th century, and Lo-mang thang town. Observe the local household Yaks, mules, horses, and cattle caravans, as well as the scenery and mountain panoramas from the outskirts, and visit the Buddhist teaching school and the historic King’s Palace.
Day 8: Explore around Lo-manthang

Day 9: Drive to Chhuksang

Day 11: Drive to Pokhara
Travel by car from Kalopani to Pokhara through the Kali Gandaki River and the Kali Gandaki Gorge, Beni market, and a small town over a meandering, off-road route through high hills. Along the route, you will pass through a quaint hamlet, a market, verdant woodlands, and rushing rivers.
Day 12: Relax in Pokhara
Enjoy your leisure day to explore around the beautiful city of Pokhara or relax by the side of the Phewa lake.
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu
The trip from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes 35 minutes and offers breathtaking mountain views. You are responsible for allocating the remaining time for shopping and resting at the hotel.
Day 14: Final Departure
Your journey through Upper Mustang will come to an end at this sign. You will be driven to Tribhuvan International Airport by a private car and dropped off by one of our representatives.
