DAY 1: SACRED VALLEY
Upon your arrival at Cusco International Airport, a Nature Horizons team member will be waiting to greet you. We will then transfer you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. The day is yours to relax and settle in. Upon arriving at your hotel, you will meet your guide, who will be with you for the remainder of your tour. Your guide will give you a briefing on your full-tour itinerary. As always, your guide will be there to assist you at a moment’s notice if you would like to head out and explore.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY (Lost Jungle Challenge to Machu Picchu)
We will travel by vehicle for around 30 minutes, making it as far as Ollantaytambo. From here, we will continue our journey to Mount Yanamayo (4480 meters), the highest point of our tour, where our mountain biking adventure will begin. This is where we will set off on our 73-kilometer route, a downhill experience of pure adrenalin, during which we will see alpacas, llamas, waterfalls, birds, Andean culture, and much more. After stopping for lunch, we will continue in our vehicle, driving for around 30 minutes as far as Quelcaybamba, where we will camp in the jungle and eat our evening meal.

DAY 3: WILD JUNGLE IN OCOBAMBA
WILD JUNGLE, OCOBAMBA – DELICIAS (17 km)
Today, we will eat breakfast at 6:00 a.m., before setting off on a 7-hour walk in the wild forest. Hiking uphill, we will explore the habitat of many bird species, including the cock-of-the-rock, woodpeckers, toucans and parrots, as well as peccaries, monkeys, bears, pumas, snakes, and wild boars. This is a demanding hike filled with adventure, as we cross fallen tree trunks, rivers, and natural bridges, and see many waterfalls. Along the way, we will see the so-called “Tree of Hope,” as well as poisonous mushrooms, tall trees, and many species of endemic flora. This hike from 1,650 meters to 3,250 meters above sea level calls for considerable physical effort, and the route to the summit will take around 4 hours and 30 minutes. From the summit, we will descend steadily over 6 kilometers to 1,750 meters above sea level, and stop to eat lunch at 1:30 p.m. After lunch, we will walk for an hour to Delicias, at 1,420 meters above sea level, where we will stop to camp and eat our evening meal. If you would like to do some river rafting in the afternoon, consult with your guide.

DAY 4: DELICIAS/ AGUAS CALIENTES/MACHU PICCHU.
DELICIAS – AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO, vehicle and hiking.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will board our vehicle for the two-hour and 30-minute drive to the Machu Picchu hydroelectric station. Along the way, we will stop to visit the homes of the locals and to see their crops of coffee, coca leaves, cassava, and their mango, banana, pineapple, avocado, and citrus plantations. En route to Machu Picchu, we will eat lunch before walking for another three hours. We will get as far as Machu Picchu Pueblo, where we will eat our evening meal and spend the night at a hostel. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to visit the local thermal baths.
Today we can experience a four-cable zip line in Quillabamba to add some extra adrenalin to your trip.

DAY 5: MACHU PICCHU /CUSCO
Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region.
Today, we will visit the Incan citadel of Machu Picchu, which can be accessed in two visiting schedules:
Guided tours last for two hours, after which you will have one free hour to take photographs and explore. Following your visit to Machu Picchu, we will return to the town of Aguascalientes and board the return train to Ollantaytambo, from where it is another two hours by car to Cusco.

DAY 6: CUSCO
Today is the final day of your tour. Your guide will be with you up until we drop you off at the airport for your departure home.
