Arrive in Livingstone, set along the banks of the Zambezi River and long regarded as Zambia’s gateway to the falls. After transferring to your lodge, the remainder of the day is left open to rest or gently explore the town’s cultural character. Livingstone offers a relaxed introduction to the country, with its local markets, museums, and riverside atmosphere providing early context for the journey ahead.

ZAMBEZI

The day unfolds along the Zambezi River, one of Africa’s great waterways. A guided canoeing experience offers a quiet and intimate way to engage with the river’s ecosystems, drifting past riverbanks frequented by wildlife. Later in the day, return to the water for a sunset river cruise. Begin the morning with a guided exploration of Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. After time at the falls, return to Livingstone for a flight to Lusaka. Upon arrival in Zambia’s capital, settle in and enjoy the evening at leisure, with the option to explore local markets or simply rest before the next transition.

Transfer to Lusaka Airport for your flight east to South Luangwa. The landscape shifts noticeably as you move toward one of Zambia’s most celebrated wildlife regions. Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge near the park boundary. The afternoon is reserved for settling in and absorbing the sounds and pace of the bush as evening approaches.

SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK

A full day is dedicated to safari exploration within South Luangwa National Park. Guided game drives reveal a landscape known for its density of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and large herds of plains game. South Luangwa is also home to several endemic subspecies, adding a distinctive ecological dimension to each drive. The day unfolds at a measured pace, guided by specialists deeply familiar with the region.

SOUTH LUANGWA NATIONAL PARK

Continue exploring the park through morning and afternoon safari activities.
