Begin in Amman, then step into the ancient world at Jerash, among the most remarkably preserved Roman sites beyond Italy. Continue to the Dead Sea, where the unusual salinity allows you to float effortlessly and experience the region’s legendary mineral-rich mud. The journey then travels south through Jordan’s cultural heartlands, with panoramic views from Mount Nebo, the Byzantine mosaics of Madaba, and the crusader stronghold of Karak.

In Petra, Jordan’s greatest archaeological treasure, a guided visit reveals the Nabatean capital carved from rose-colored sandstone, with time to explore further at your own pace. From there, the scenery shifts dramatically to Wadi Rum, where a 4x4 desert exploration leads to an overnight Bedouin camp and a traditional dinner beneath the stars. The journey continues to Aqaba on the Red Sea for relaxed coastal time before returning to Amman with a meaningful community-hosted lunch en route.

Arrive in Amman at any time and settle into your hotel. After a brief welcome meeting, the evening is yours. You may choose to join an optional group dinner in the city or explore independently before the journey unfolds.

AMMAN CITY HIGHLIGHTS & AS SALT CULINARY TOUR

Today is dedicated to Amman’s cultural heart and Jordan’s culinary heritage. After breakfast, visit the King Abdullah Mosque, then continue to the Amman Citadel, an archaeological complex shaped by civilizations from the Bronze Age onward. A short stop follows at the Roman Amphitheater to view the grounds from the outside. Later, travel to the hillside town of As Salt for a two-hour food tour. This immersive experience highlights Jordanian hospitality through tastings of regional specialties, a visit to local markets and spice shops, and a deeper understanding of the town’s culinary identity. Return to Amman for free time for the remainder of the day and evening.

Depart Amman and travel to Jerash for a guided visit. Over the course of three hours, walk through colonnaded streets, theatres, temples, plazas, fountains, and monumental city gates, experiencing one of the Roman world’s most impressive preserved sites. Continue onward to Wadi Musa, the gateway to Petra. The evening is free to settle in and choose dinner at your leisure

Begin with a visit to Siq al-Barid (Little Petra), a narrow sandstone passage lined with carved rock features that echo Petra’s grandeur on a more intimate scale. From here, hike the ancient backdoor trail into Petra, arriving near the Monastery. Enjoy a boxed lunch with panoramic views before continuing your guided exploration through Petra’s celebrated monuments, including the Siq and the Treasury, along with key archaeological highlights across the site. Return to Wadi Musa for a relaxed evening at your own pace.

Rise early for a final sunrise visit to Petra, when the light transforms the sandstone into a spectrum of warm tones and the site feels especially atmospheric. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then depart for Wadi Rum, the “Valley of the Moon.” Upon arrival, set out on a 4x4 desert trip, traveling through red dunes and striking rock formations and stopping at ancient sites featuring rock art and inscriptions. After settling into camp, enjoy dinner together. Later, head out on a night walk for stargazing in exceptionally clear desert skies.

Continue to the Dead Sea for time to float in its mineral-rich waters and experience the therapeutic mud along the shoreline.
