It concludes on the Mara River in the Maasai Mara, a region defined by big cats, wide horizons, and the magnetic presence of the river itself.

This journey is best experienced between July and October, when the migration concentrates between the northern Serengeti and the Maasai Mara. During these months, vast herds gather along the Mara River, creating the conditions for dramatic river crossings and heightened predator activity — one of the most iconic phases of the migration cycle.
From December to March, the southern Serengeti offers a different yet equally powerful chapter, with calving season bringing intense wildlife density and predator interactions across open plains.
