COVID-19 Information to Travelers

Keeping you inspired and informed as we navigate COVID-19 together

When humankind rallies in the face of adversity; we have proved our resourcefulness, our courage, and, most of all, the ability to showcase the empathy that defines our humanity.

The spread of COVID-19 (the coronavirus) has once again tested our resilience, and we would like to take this opportunity to extend our thoughts to those who have been affected. The rapidly changing situation with regards to COVID-19 has affected people, businesses, and economies everywhere. It is difficult not to be overwhelmed by the impact of such a massive scale and our thoughts go out to all those affected, whether in terms of health or their daily income.

In troubling times such as this, we can take to heart that we have faced challenges like coronavirus before – and we have prevailed.

SO, HOW DO WE MOVE FORWARD AND CONTINUE TO PROVIDE EXTRAORDINARY TRAVEL EXPERIENCES?

Nature Horizons’ priority remains the well-being and safety of all our guests and staff, as well as the communities surrounding. While it is difficult to plan in the long term, as things remain in a constant state of flux, we have put together a plan that we believe allows our guests a measure of certainty for the future, while still allowing us to care for the land, wildlife and people that depend on us.

YOUR SAFETY WITH REGARD TO COVID-19 TRANSMISSION

The safety of our guests and staff is always our number-one priority and informs all our decisions. In today’s uncertain landscape, we understand that travelers are more careful when managing their plans and may have a few more questions. We are here to support you every step of the way.  And whether you’re into adventure hiking or on any other tour with Nature Horizons, we encourage you to take the Nature Horizon’s Pledge, our personal code of conduct aimed at minimizing the risk of infection for yourself and others.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has canceled many travelers’ upcoming trips. In light of the crisis, numerous airlines, hotels, and Nature Horizons, just like other operators, have rolled out more lenient change and cancellation policies.

We continue to monitor the local and global impacts of COVID-19 and are updating our policies and actions accordingly. Please continue to refer back to our website for ongoing updates.

Destination requirements

There will be entry requirements for your destination country or countries. Most often this involves taking a PCR test shortly before you arrive at your destination. You should check the precise requirements of the country or countries that you are visiting in order to organize the tests that you need. A few countries also have exit requirements, which may vary from country to country, so it is important to check the information thoroughly.

Coronavirus Travel FAQs

As you know, the health and safety of our travelers, staff, and partners continue to be our top priority. With this as our key focus, we’ve assessed all of the evolving factors we’re faced with during these uncertain COVID-19 times. In order to determine how to proceed, we’ve reviewed recommended operating protocols, ship hygiene and physical distancing measures, and travel and border restrictions, while paying close attention to government advisories. Our comprehensive appraisal has made it clear to us that the procedures required to be put in place would make it impossible for us to provide our travelers with the fully immersive and high-quality level of experience we expect of ourselves – and that, importantly, our travelers should expect to receive from us. And even with those demanding procedures in place, we would still have concerns around potential COVID-19 threats. We are committed to delivering to our travelers the outstanding product they so richly deserve.
